Privacy Policy — EI Australia Logger

EI Australia Logger is an internal field data capture application used by EI Australia (EI Consulting Engineers) staff and authorised contractors to record geotechnical borehole logs, hazardous materials surveys and laboratory chain of custody records on project sites.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name and work email address, provided through EI Australia's single sign-on (Keycloak) when you log in.
• Project and field data: the records you enter in the app, such as borehole logs, material descriptions, sample identifiers and survey notes.
• Photos: photographs you take with the app's camera function to document site conditions and materials.
• Location: with your permission, the device's location at the time of capture, used to georeference records. Location access is optional and can be declined in your device settings.

How we use it

The data is used solely to produce EI Australia's professional work products: borehole logs, hazardous materials registers and reports, and laboratory submissions. It forms part of EI Australia's project records.

Storage and security

Data entered in the app is stored on the device and synchronised to EI Australia's private servers hosted in Australia. All transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access requires an authorised EI Australia account.

Sharing

We do not sell or trade your data. Sample submission details are shared with our contracted analytical laboratories solely to process laboratory testing (chain of custody). Data may otherwise be disclosed only where required by law.

Retention and deletion

Records are retained as part of EI Australia's project archives in line with our professional and legal obligations. To request access to or deletion of your personal information, contact us using the details below.
